Anushka Sharma and Ranvir Singh were rumoured to be dating during Band Baja Baraat, and this lip lock provided fuel to the fire of rumours.

Deepika Padukone's kiss with Ranvir Singh in 'Goliyon ki.. Ram Leela' was the hottest ever in Bollywood as both of them were too much into it.

Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan have locked lips twice and have created sensation both the times in ZNMD and Bang Bang.

Vidya Balan locked lips with Arshad Warsi way before she became the sex symbol in 'The dirty picture'.

Sonam Kapoor's steamy kiss with Ayshuman Khurrana in 'Bevkoofiyan' was a much hyped kiss as Sonam ahd avoided any such scene with co-stars earlier.

The new serial kissers of Bollywood

Sushant Singh Rajput seems to be the new actor to join the serial kisser bandwagon. According to a report in DNA, Sushant and co-star Swastika Mukherjee have shot the longest kissing scene for their upcoming film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. The report quoted director Dibakar Banerjee stating that he wanted to throw Sushant Singh off guard and hence he had not briefed the actor about his intentions of shooting a lengthy kissing scene.

The report further stated that Sushant was displeased at the end of it, but when he saw the final shot, he seemed fine with it. Previously he had kissing scenes in Shuddh Desi Romance and is all set to share a hot lip-lock with Anushka Sharma in PK. The actor seems uninhibited when it comes to locking lips on the silver screen. While Sushant may give Emraan Hashmi a run for his money, read on to know about the other competitors in the industry.

Siddharth Malhotra, who entered Bollywood with the film Student Of The Year, kissed Alia Bhatt in the movie. In his next film Hasee Toh Phasee, the actor was again seen in a hot lip-lock with Parineeti Chopra.

He also kissed Shraddha Kapoor in his next, Ek Villain!

Arjun Kapoor too is on his way to be the next serial kisser. The actor has emerged as an expert in love-making scenes. In his debut film Ishaqzaade, he was seen kissing Parineeti and in his next film Aurangzeb the actor was seen doing intimate acts with Sashaa Agha. Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt set the temperatures soaring as they kissed onscreen in 2 States.

While talking about his intimate moments, Arjun said in an interview to TOI, "It's the most natural thing to do. When a man falls in love, the first thing he will do is to kiss the girl. I think Emraan has broken the myth. Also, the audience today is sensible and understands the context of a scene. The love-making scene was integral to Ishaqzaade and Aurangzeb and was done aesthetically. We did not do it to add sleaze."

Ranveer Singh too is the new entrant in the gang of kissers. The actor was confident with his chemistry in his debut film Band Baaja Baarat with Anushka Sharma and was seen getting involved in a hot lip-lock. Further, he was seen kissing Deepika Padukone in Ram Leela. He was also snapped planting a kiss on Deepika's cheek at the Hello! Awards.

Ranbir Kapoor, who did a kissing scene with his ex-flame Deepika Padukone in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is confident about his scenes. He even had a a kissing scene with Southern hottie Ileana D'Cruz in Barfi! In an interview with the Times Of India, Ranbir said, "Kissing onscreen is extremely technical!

You have to see if the light is coming right, if your face is in the right position for the camera. Besides there are so many people around! I am an actor and it's a part of my acting. I also don't usually need retakes. I am a good kisser."

I didn't choose to be a girl, it's unfair I am supposed to be scared: Parineeti Chopra

At a press meet last year, Parineeti Chopra yelled at a journalist for his ‘sexist’ comment.

Interestingly, the video clip only went viral on the Internet recently. We ask Parineeti about the incident, and the state of women’s security in India.

Do you know about the video from a press conference that went viral?

Some people messaged me saying, ‘Way to go’, and that’s when I got to know that it’s out again. Even I felt ‘Yeh kahaan se aa gaya? Itna late reaction kyun hua ispe?’ (Where did this come from? Why is there such a late reaction to it?).

You look very angry in the clip…
The man said the most absurd, sexist thing. I would have hit him. Most people told me that they are proud of me, so I know I am right (smiles).

Of late, a number of rape cases have been reported, especially from Uttar Pradesh...
It’s not about ‘where’ the rape is happening. Due to the Delhi gang-rape and others, these cases have started getting media attention. People talk about them more, and more action is being taken. As a girl, it surely affects me, regardless of the location.

Despite all the security, do you feel vulnerable?
Yes. I run my own errands — like buying groceries — without security. If we finish shooting at 8-9 pm, or even later, we have to schedule other meetings after that. So, I’m out till 1-2 am, and when I’m returning home, I don’t know what can happen.

Do these instances frustrate you?
If I were a boy, I wouldn’t be scared. I feel it’s unfair. I haven’t chosen my gender. I happen to be a girl by birth. That shouldn’t mean I am supposed to feel scared all the time. I am sure no boy would feel scared walking on the roads at two o’clock in the night. But, as a girl, I can’t do that. I don’t understand this kind of discrimination.

When you stated that you weren’t close to your cousin, Meera, she dubbed the comment ‘stupid’.
That’s the truth. I swear I don’t know our exact relationship. As far as I know, our dads are either first or second cousins. Anyway, I am not in touch with her. I don’t speak to Meera at all. I don’t know why she has said that it’sstupid because that’s a fact.

But Meera is close to your cousin Priyanka Chopra.
I think she is in touch with Mimi didi (Priyanka). They must be close but that’s not the case with me. And that happens. Among cousins, you are close to some, while not to others. She is not my direct cousin, so I am not close to her.

You have two films coming up, including one with your first co-star, Ranveer Singh. How does that feel?
In Daawat-e-Ishq , my film with Aditya (Roy Kapur), you will see a lot of food. And I am excited about working with Govinda and Ranveer. Both of them know Shaad (Ali, director) from before, but for me he was just Shaad the director. I got to know while working on the film that he is the maddest person. Since all four of us have a lot of energy, there was a group of four mad people on the sets.

Is Deepika Padukone following Ranbir Kapoor?

It seems Deepika Padukone is not yet over her former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.

After seeing Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif's public display of affection, Deepika was seen taking a romantic walk with her beau Ranveer Singh.

Deepika was spotted in Barcelona with Ranveer, spending quality time with him. The two were seen taking a stroll in the streets looking very happy and comfortable with each other.

This news comes as a surprise as just a few days back pictures of Ranbir-Katrina walking hand-in-hand in Cape Town were splashed over the media. It seems Deepika is following her ex Ranbir and is leaving no chance to give him tough competition and to show him that she has really moved on.

Anushka Sharma is one of the best young actors in India: Ranveer Singh

Actor Ranveer Singh, who will beseen along side Anushka Sharma in upcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do, says he shares a special bond with the actress and is looking forward to work with her.

Ranveer Singh, 28, and Anushka first appeared together in Band Baaja Baarat, which turned out to be a successful film. They were later seen together in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.

Now, director Zoya Akhtar has managed to cast Ranveer and Anushka in Dil Dhadakne Do. "Yes... we are in touch with each other. We share a very healthy and professional relationship. I believe Anushka is one of the best young actors in our country. She is incredibly talented and we work well together. I share special chemistry with her. I am excited to work with her again as it has been a long gap since we worked together," Ranveer said.

Dil Dhadakne Do will see Ranveer and Anushka as a couple, while Ranveer and Priyanka Chopra will play siblings. It also features Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah.

Apparently, the film revolves around a Punjabi family on a cruise trip. It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment and scheduled to release next year in June.

"I was waiting for the next opportunity where I will get to work with her (Anushka) again as we worked well together in our previous films. She hasn't been part of prep process as she got back from shooting of NH 10," Ranveer said.

Anushka is turning producer with NH 10, an upcoming thriller film directed by Navdeep Singh of Manorama Six Feet Under fame. The film is co-produced by Phantom Films and is scheduled to release in September this year.

"I am very proud of the fact that she is the youngest producer in Hindi film industry. I know little about 'NH 10', I know it is going to be a fantastic film," Ranveer said.

Deepika ready to turn assistant director for Zoya Akhtar's next

The reigning queen of Bollywood Deepika Padukone is planning to take on a new role now. We are not talking about an upcoming acting project, but that of an assistant director. Deepika has expressed her wish to come on board for Zoya Akhtar's next as an assistant director.

Deepika is intending to take upon the role of an assistant director quite late in her career, as most actors try their hands on the same before they begin their journey as an actor.

However, Deepika is apparently so impressed with the script of Zoya Akhtar's 'Dil Dhadakne Do' that she says she wants to be a part of it in any capacity, even in a non-acting role.
Deepika was quoted saying, "I love the script so much that I am ready to work in any capacity on the film, including an assistant director (AD). But I don't know if I can manage that (working as an AD)."

When asked if Deepika has expressed her desire to Zoya, she said, "Not really...I've met her, but not talked about it (getting associated with the film)."
Deepika's alleged boyfriend Ranveer Singh plays the main lead in the film.

Zoya's directorial venture will also have Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar. There is buzz that Ranveer and Priyanka will play siblings, with Anushka and Farhan opposite them.

On-screen chemistry depends on your co-stars: Deepika

For actress Deepika Padukone, the on-screen chemistry between two actors cannot be cultivated but it rather stems from the "comfort level" they share.

The sizzling chemistry that Deepika shared with co-star Ranveer Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Ram Leela' sparked rumours of a romance between the two actors. But both Deepika and Ranveer have refrained from directly commenting on the status of their relationship.

"Chemistry was relevant to the film at that time. What was important for me and Ranveer is to have a good chemistry in a film like 'Ram Leela' which is an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. (As) the film was a passionate love story, we needed that kind of chemistry and it worked for the film," Deepika said at an event.

She said contrary to the perception, the on-screen chemistry cannot be created between two actors.

"You cannot create chemistry. Also a director cannot direct chemistry as it is something that actors bring to their characters and to the film. It lies in the comfort level that they share. I believe they cannot create it," the actress said.

Once the film is superhit, one has seen top actors demanding profit share from the makers. Deepika too thinks of following the trend.

"I think it depends on project to project. If it is fair for guys (actors) to get it (profit share) then why not girls. I will definitely think about it," she said.

Deepika chose to play safe when asked whether she would play the role of Amitabh Bachchan's daughter in Soojit Sircar's upcoming film.

Ranbir at 'Gunday' screening without Katrina

Ranbir Kapoor and rumoured girlfriend Karina Kaif have let gossip mongers run wild once again. After the duo made headlines with their alleged romance and then the news of their apparent tiff, the rumoured love-birds have started maintaining a distance while making public appearances.

The buzz around this rumour is stronger than ever before. According to a report in the Indian Express, Ranbir recently attended the screening of the film ' Gunday' sans his alleged ladylove Katrina. Ranbir attended the screening with best friend and director Ayanj Mukerji. While Ayan and Ranbir are usually spotted together at various filmi parties as well, Katrina's abscense at the screening has raised eyebrows.

READ: Ranbir-Katrina hotter than Ranveer-Deepika?

A few days earlier, Ranbir, Ayan and Arjun Kapoor attended filmmaker Karan Johar's private party and alleged girlfriend Katrina was missing even then. In fact, what adds fuel to fire is that both Katrina and Ranbir a few days ago had gone for dinner to Kiran Rao's house where the two came and left separately. If we believe hearsay, then the two who are working together on Anurag Basu's 'Jagga Jasoos' have reportedly not been interacting much on the sets as well.

Ranbir, Katrina are believed to have had a public spat while returning from their New Year vacation in New York. Since the holiday, reports of trouble in the couple's paradise has been stronger. While Ranbir and Kat have never gone public with their relationship, their intimate pictures while holidaying in Ibiza, Spain put their alleged romance on the front burner of all tabloids.

According to a report in Indian Express, Katrina is reportedly shooting for her upcoming film 'Bang Bang' with Hrithik Roshan in Shimla and hence could not accompany Ranbir to the 'Gunday' screening. The report also states that, Ranbir's ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone was also present at the film screening. 'Gunday' stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika's 'Ram-Leela' co-star and the two are rumoured to be dating since the time they started shooting for the same

Film review: 'Gunday' should be watched for being a two-hero film which is a rarity these days

Film: Gunday
Rating: **
Director: Ali Abbas Zafar
Starring: Ranveer Singh Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan

What it's about: It's about two orphans Bala (Arjun Kapoor) and Bikram (Ranveer Singh) who find themselves becoming refugees after the formation of Bangladesh. They soon realize that if they have to survive, they have to grow up fast and soon find themselves on the path of crime. The boys as petty thieves who are forced to run away to Calcutta, where they grow up and become kingpins of the city. People swear by their friendship. And then they both fall in love with the same girl.

What's good: The entire childhood portion of Bala and Bikram is powerfully captured by Abbas, both in terms of the screenplay and execution. It almost sets the tone for the film - almost saga-like. There are some poignant moments in the friendship between the two heroes - and that's the crux of the film. This is what you call in movie terminology a guy's film - loads of action, attitude and masala. Abbas is superb when it comes to projecting heroism of his lead protagonists.

The scale is grand; production values are great. In terms of screenplay, there is one really good twist in the film that you don't see coming, but by the time it comes, you have pretty much thrown up your hands. Priyanka Chopra looks pretty, and that is what the directors seem to expect from her and emphasize on. She is a director's actress and can deliver.

That she proves in the one scene she gets the chance to perform (the confrontation with Bala). She bites into the role with vengeance and shows that she has it in her. When two actors have equal roles, everyone is watching them to see who is better. In Gunday, both Ranveer and Arjun have been given contrasting characteristics so both stand apart.

Ranveer's restraint is ably matched by Arjun's hyper intensity. Irrfan Khan as the cop is a delight. The dialogues deserve a special mention.

What's not: There was a reason why there was so much curiosity surrounding Gunday. After a long time, the industry was witnessing a two-hero film. One only wishes that after getting such a golden opportunity, director Ali Abbas had focused more on the substance.

After a stupendous start, the film keeps going downhill with every reel. All the critical conflicts in the story and screenplay are flaky - be it the friendship between the two guys (after a point), the romantic angle and the adversities they face. You know right from the onset that the boys will become enemies over the girl they love.

That misunderstanding, split and ugly fight scene will follow post which, both will swear to destroy each other. You keep hoping there's something clever coming your way but alas! Gunday was meant to be this generation's Ram Lakhan but it comes nowhere close to it. Overall speaking, Arjun and Ranveer's camaraderie was better on Koffee With Karan.

The kind of bromance that entertained us in Ram Lakhan, Muqaddar Ka Sikander, Sholay and Karan Arjun was needed but the film just doesn't deliver on that. And that is what the film is hinged on, so it's a big let down.

What's that: I was really worried in the fight scene where Arjun and Ranveer rip each others' shirts off. Thankfully the fight master didn't have any imaginative way to strip them of their pants.

What to do: A two-hero film is a rarity these days. Watch it only for that reason.

PC is glad to do much more than just being a pretty face

PC is glad to do much more than just being a pretty face

Priyanka Chopra is happy to be in Bollywood at a time when women performers are doing much more in films than just being a pretty face.

The 31-year-old actress, who now has a budding international music career, says it is great to see strong roles being written for women in the industry, which is often blamed for being male-dominated.

Priyanka thinks she has finally managed to strike a balance between big budget commercial fares and roles that do justice to her as an actor.

"I think it is really good time for female actors in Bollywood. We get to do so much... Parts are being written for us. I am very fortunate that roles are being written for me where I can do much more than just being a pretty face," the former Miss World told PTI in an interview.

"Yes, you have to do films like that also (being a pretty face). But, it is great to have the ability to have so much going on for you," she adds.

Priyanka had two releases last year -- the superhit 'Krrish 3' and 'Zanjeer' remake which did not do that well. She is looking forward to her first release this year with 'Gunday' hitting the screens tomorrow.

In the Yash Raj Film, Priyanka play the role of a glamorous cabaret dancer Nandita in the 1970s of Kolkata. She is being romanced by Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.

Priyanka says she was inspired by her mother's look in that era to recreate Nandita.

Ranveer or Ranbir, who will replace Hrithik in Shuddhi?

When Hrithik Roshan was busy shooting for 'Bang Bang' and held back on alotting any dates for Karan Johar's 'Shuddhi' (to be directed by Karan Malhotra) opposite actress Kareena Kapoor, the film faced the first of its many reported delays.

This was soon followed with Kareena hinting , subtly, at dropping out from Shuddhi after sighting an issue with dates, and Hrithik not being available for the project.
Read: Hrithik- Kareena to reunite on screen after 10 years for Shuddhi

Soon came the announcement from none other than filmmaker Karan Johar who reportedly announced his plans of searching for a new leading lady, and not keeping Kareena waiting. Some reports even hinted that Deepika Padukone was the new replacement.
And finally came Hrithik's announcement that he's leaving the project. Was it that he needed time to recover from his brain surgery, or the matter of his split from Sussane, is not confirmed. But here's what the press statement read: "Karan Malhotra and I have decided to unite in the most ambitious way post Shuddhi. For now, I cannot allow a vision like 'Shuddhi' to stagnate any further. I had the finest experience an actor can have working with Karan in Agneepath and I'm sure both my dear Karans (Johar and Malhotra) are going to go beyond with this one! 'Shuddhi' remains a part of me in spirit and I am sure it will be a landmark in our cinema. I wish them all the best!"

So with Hrithik and Kareena reportedly out, while some reports are claiming Ranveer Singh, Deepika's Ram-Leela co-star, will come in Hrithik's place, other reports are suggesting Ranbir Kapoor will be joining the project instead.

Inside the Zee awards 2014

The long-winded show was packed with enough action, drama and laughs to keep everyone there until 4am

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone had a wish: “I hope this awards show doesn’t go on for five hours. I barely had three hours of sleep.” She spoke too soon. Saturday’s Zee Cine Awards 2014 ran on into the early hours. But did she have fun? Oh yes, she and 400-plus guests gathered at Mumbai’s Film City will vouch that the Zee Awards 2014 were as entertaining and as long as an epic Bollywood romance — a happier version of Devdas, if you will.
And the stars who made it all happen went beyond a crutch-ridden Shah Rukh Khan, who introduced the Best Film nominees with a skit. There was action hero Akshay Kumar, Lootera star Sonakshi Sinha, the ever-effusive Ranveer Singh and self-deprecating hosts Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh to keep the show rolling.
As Bachchan put it: “We must be really good at this if people are still glued to their seats at 3am”. While they were good, there was another reason why people stuck it out. Saving the best for last was Kumar. Making an entry on a motorbike at top speed, he zipped in from a ramp built on the side amongst the audience and onto the stage. And as soon as he reached the stage, he jumped off the bike, which spun out of control. There was a minor explosion and a dazzling display of pyrotechnics. His perfectly executed action gig was like a much-needed caffeine shot (come on, it was 3.30am, Sunday) and was a relief from the usual romantic song-dance numbers at award ceremonies.
Clad in a military uniform, Kumar was in top form as he danced to his hits, including Party All Night. If that didn’t snap you awake, the artificial rain that poured down would have done the job. There was water everywhere, but Kumar forged ahead and moved to the beat with drum rolls and all. He’s no expert dancer like Shahid Kapoor, but what he lacked in grace he made up for by playing to his macho title. In the end, he was snapped up by a wire as fireworks strapped to his back went off.
Another surprise was Sonakshi Sinha’s stage act, as the newly slim actress danced to Gandi Baat and Sari Ka Fall Sa (from R … Rajkumar) with impressive agility (clearly, the time spent with choreographer and R … Rajkumar director Prabhu Deva has done her a world of good). But when it came to mastering the art of multiple dress changes, the award goes to Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela star Ranveer Singh. That man can move and change jackets in a snap. His act was an ode to the stars who shaped Bollywood over the last few decades. Be it Amitabh Bachchan’s Chumma Chumma De De or Shah Rukh Khan’s Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen or Hrithik Roshan’s Ek Pal Ka Jeena, Singh proved that he possessed the charisma to pull off songs that he did not make popular. (He showed his sporting side later in the evening when he danced in the audience as Kumar was on stage)
But the glue that held the evening together was the notoriously charming Shah Rukh Khan. Despite his recent leg injury, he forged ahead like a soldier, introducing films that made it to the Best Film nominations list. While he praised each, from Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to his own Chennai Express, it was his comic skit for Aashiqui 2 that got thunderous applause. Khan took a strand about unconditional love and dedicated the romantic song Tum Hi Ho to all domestic helpers out there. His act, with dancers holding brooms and mops, could be deemed derogatory but Khan’s earnest appreciation of unskilled labour just brought a smile to most faces at ZCA. His spoof on Chennai Express was also a big hit. We loved the bit where Deepika Padukone was carried (yes, carried) on stage by stand-up comedian Bharti Singh. It was a scene inspired from Chennai Express but to see the rotund Bharti successfully lift the statuesque actress (who was squealing with fear and delight) up the steps was riveting. While the show rambled on, it was good to see Bachchan Jr indulge in a good dose of ribbing about its meandering nature. “Don’t worry guys, we just have about four hours to go,” said Bachchan at 2am. If that wasn’t enough: “A big shout to my dear friend Ali Morani who’s seated in the front row. Guys if you are looking for someone to discuss the length of the show, he’s your man.” Funnily enough, while Chetan Bhagat extolled the virtues of good story being the key to a brilliant film, Bachchan retorted: ‘look at us, we are living proof that you don’t need a screenplay to get people glued to their seats for more than three hours.” These well-timed jibes helped in making us last through a long-winded, but enjoyable show.

Ranveer beats cameraperson for clicking him with Deepika (view pics)
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are one of the lovey-dovey couples of Tinsel Ville. Their closeness was quite visible at Ahana Deol’s wedding reception and Ranveer’s work was to follow Deepika here and there.

The actor was also spotted giving a peck on her cheeks without caring who is watching them. Such closeness and intimacy was meant to capture attention of the guests and the lensmen who came to enjoy and cover the wedding. But this didn’t go down well with Ranveer who took over a shutterbug for capturing their moments in his lenses.

Hot Bollywood Gossip: Deepika Padukone heartbroken as Ranveer Singh misses award nominations

Subhash K Jha

Any doubts about the warm friendship shared between Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are dispelled when one realizes how protective she is of his right to win awards during this awards season. Going by the early trends it looks like Deepika Padukone is all set to sweep all the popular awards. But the actress is not ecstatic about her triumph. Why?  That's because her Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela co-star and her real-life good friend (wink wink) Ranveer Singh is not likely to win any of the awards.
Deeepika, who feels Ranveer was as good as her in Ram Leela, is disappointed on her co-star’s behalf. Says a source, “Deepika thinks Ranveer deserves awards for Ram Leela. However she cannot come out and say this out loud as she is too politically correct in her proclamations to risk offending the other actors in the Best Actor nominations.”
Apparently, the actress was heartbroken when Ranveer was not even nominated for the Best Actor category in the Screen awards. “Deepika called up a friend to say she felt awful about Ranveer’s exclusion as she felt he was not just as good as her in Ram Leela, but even better than her,” says the source. Sadly, the chances of Ranveer winning any award for Best Actor seem dim, considering the competition. “But what better award than to have your co-star (read good friend) believe so strongly in your performance?” says the source. We couldn't agree less!
