Here's what the nation actually wants to know: Stories of Siddharth Mallya's crotch

India has a new pastime - and it's not sharing articles that claim to investigate 'five things only boys who don't grow chest hair will relate to'. And suchlike. This new pastime is far more invigorating than following Chetan Bhagat on Twitter, requires way more imagination than trending #YoRahulSoDumb and is nearly as disturbing as asking your Facebook friend to loan you his virtual pet goat on Farmville.

So, India's latest obsession is, *deep breath*, Siddharth Mallya's crotch.
You can now thank me for bringing you the most enlightening bit of news to have hit us Indians after the list of black money hoarders in our country.
Mallya will now host a web-series called Sid Sessions, that you can access on YouTube. Ah, now stop smirking you cynics. If there can be Nigella Bites and Rachel Allen Bakes, why can't there be Sid Sessions, pray? Yes, it does sound like a show on exotic massages, but I guarantee, there's more cleavage on display right in the first episode than there has been in all Nigella shows and RGV item numbers put together.

Now that we have your attention, lets move on to the show and the questions Siddharth Mallya answers in them.
One third of them have to do with his crotch.
The format of the show is simple - Mallya attempts to answer questions that people send him on social media.
Now consider this: Siddharth Mallya and people who actually have things to ask about him, and his genitals, put together. That could be the best thing to have happened to our part of the world since Akshay Kumar with his pre-waxing era chest met Rekha, who had a mouth with a mind of its own in Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.

So the first 'question' that came Mallya's way is this: 'You gotta nice bulge. Humm.' It came from a Twitter handle called 'bhawana010', which we have failed to trace at the moment.
"Where have you seen my bulge?" Mallya wonders, with the same kind of heart-wrenching honesty with which Rahul Gandhi is believed to have expounded when he declared that poverty was a state of mind. However, Mallya puts up a brave face despite the objectification of his genitals and goes on to advise 'kids' that they shouldn't wear something that fits too tightly around their crotches.
While you are tempted to believe that Mallya is offering the endangered Indian male crotch a way to beat the prying eye - like the dutiful Delhi mother offers a dupatta to the daughter stepping out in a ganjee to catch a bus - that's not what he has in mind. He goes on to explain how wearing tight clothes will ruin a man's sperm count.
Women of the country, notice now cleverly Mallya just tried to beautify the manscape around you.
Soon after, someone asks, "You sly fox, how's the rod doing?". And then another asks, "Do you have d***?"

To answer the former, Mallya, has a conversation with the said part of his body and then he declares, "He says he is doing fine."
Given that you have just survived this little heart-to-crotch chit-chat, thank Mallya for giving you new strength and conviction to survive the sight of Baba Ramdev's armpits. Or Arvind Kejriwal's singing. Another season of Bigg Boss. And an entire Mumbai local-full of damp-patches. Precisely, most such everyday hassles you have to deal with in the country.
Following the revelation of India's obsession with Mallya's genitals, if you have started making enquiries about property prices and rentals in North Korea, hold on for a little more. He will now proceed to fortify you against any intellectual catastrophe that might strike you in your lifetime.
Another Twitter user, apparently, says, "Shameless creature... Pay ur kingfisher debts." To which Mallya shows that apart from possessing a telepathic relationship with his crotch, he owns superior sarcasm. He answers the question saying, "While I am at it, let me also stop the ISIS and maybe find a cure for cancer as well... and several other things which I have absolutely no control over?"

Take note Mr Senior Bachchan. Here's how, maybe you could justify the junior in Happy New Year. And Dhoom:3. And Players.
We want to conclude this article with a silent prayer for Russel Brand, who, we hope doesn't watch this video and feel way more miserable than anyone who has been dumped by Katy Perry should.
And a plea to Sid Mallya: Could you tell your fans that spelling 'friendship' without its vowels on Facebook can decrease a man's sperm count? You will be doing us women a great favour.

Talking about the film, Aamir said: "Like Raj Kumar's other films even this film will have a strong message. This is the toughest role of my career. I have hardly blinked in this film because of my character".

Sex symbols of Bollywood

‘Irresistibly sexy’ was not a phrase which the media used freely earlier. If Dev Anand were to act today – provided he added a few packs and walked bare-chested – he would have been definitely called that and not a ‘charming man who swept women off their feet.’ But, modern times are liberal times. Movies do not hide sex scenes by showing roses and friendly pigeons onscreen. Television doesn’t hesitate to talk about sex appeal frankly. Indian online media is as frank as the others: quite naturally, if one wishes to cater to the changed mindset of today’s times. Presenting a list of sex symbols, out of which the tenth choice depends on you, dear reader.

Sunny Leone The tag of a former porn star notwithstanding and in spite of not having more than one hit on her Bollywood’s curriculum vitae, Sunny is a huge sex symbol in town. Ask fifty percent of the nation’s population: in other words, men. A high percentage will cast their votes in her favour.

John Abraham There was a time when this guy couldn’t act to save his life. Now, he acts pretty well as was seen in Madras Cafe. But that one candid moment in Dostana is something nobody has been able to forget: because of dislike, envy, awe, whatever. John, yes even now, is a happening sex symbol, although Bipasha Basu may be inclined to disagree.

Priyanka Chopra Some people just hate her. Many cannot stand her singing. But ask the others who are her fans, and you will come across numerous people who just cannot look beyond her. What helps her case is that she is a fine actress too, which showed in her films like 7 Khoon Maaf, Kaminey and Fashion among others.

Ranbir Kapoor If you take a look at him, ‘cute’ sounds like a better and more appropriate word. But, then he takes off his shirt, and many among his fans go ‘ahhhh.’ This chap acts really well, as seen in Rockstar and Barfi among other films. But the single most popular moment of his entire career is from his disastrous debut: Saawariya. Remember him draped in a towel? You should.

Katrina Kaif Katrina is very interesting. She looks extremely attractive on most occasions. But give her an item number (Tees Maar Khan) or another show-stopping song (Dhoom:3), and she transforms herself into a diva who is uninhibited, hot and stunning. Among the chart-toppers any day.

Salman Khan's 'Kick' box office collections break Shah Rukh Khan stranglehold on all-time No 3 spot

That there is still some power left in Salman Khan's 'Kick' box office collections is clear from the fact that there is a steady flow of money over the third week too.

That there is still some power left in Salman Khan's 'Kick' box office collections is clear from the fact that there is a steady flow of money over the third week too.

Salman Khan's 'Kick' box office collections have achieved yet another milestone!
Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut film, which has become box office collections highest grosser of 2014, has now beaten Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Chennai Express' (Rs 227.13 crore) record to become the third highest grosser of all time.

Interestingly, 'Chennai Express' recorded a stunning Rs 100.42 crore opening weekend as compared to Kick's earning of Rs 83.73 crore. But subsequent weeks and weekends saw 'Kick' taking the lead over the business of the SRK movie.
That there is still some power left in Salman Khan's 'Kick' box office collections is clear from the fact that there is a steady flow of money over the third week too.
The Salman Khan-starrer collected Rs 1.35 crore on Tuesday and Rs 1.10 crore on Wednesday, capping its domestic collections at Rs 228.08 crore in 20 days. The film had generated Rs 164.09 crore in Week 1 and Rs 51.02 crore in Week 2. While 'Kick' entered the Rs 100 core club on Day 5, it reached the Rs 200 crore mark on the 11th day.
The collections for Week 3, pegged by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, stand at: Friday Rs 1.97 crore, Saturday Rs 2.94 crore, Sunday Rs 3.92 crore, Monday Rs 1.69 crore and Tuesday Rs 1.35 crore with a grand total of Rs 226.98 crore (India).
Adarsh has also declared the film as all-time blockbuster.

Some more records are likely to fall in the near future because of never-say-die performance of 'Kick'. As far as domestic market is concerned, 'Kick' will need to add Rs 16.85 crore more to its kitty to go ahead of Hrithik Roshan's 'Krrish 3' box office collections record and Rs 56.20 crore to challenge the biggest move of them all in Bollywood, Aamir Khan-starrer 'Dhoom 3' - the going will get tough on Friday with the Independence Day (August 15) release of Ajay Devgn's 'Singham Returns', but 'Kick' is still in the running for Bollywood box office pinnacle.
‘Kick’ is produced by the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner. The film is a remake of Telugu film of the same name, with a screenplay adapted by Nadiadwala and Chetan Bhagat.
'Kick' is still performing good at multiplexes

Will Aamir Khan's 'PK' break 'Dhoom 3's' record?

Will Aamir Khan's 'PK' break 'Dhoom 3's' record?

As the famous adage goes- There is no such thing as bad publicity and Bollywood's perfectionist Aamir Khan knows it very well. His upcoming movie 'PK' has garnered enough publicity to generate curiosity among the moviegoers. The clever marketing strategy to standout in the crowd can only be Aamir Khan's idea.
Firstly, the actor got the tongues wagging with the 'PK' poster, in which the actor posed almost in the buff with a radio strategically placed to hide his modesty. And as if the Indian audience couldn't get enough of Aamir Khan's naked body, there also came a news that his poster is a rip-off of Quim Barreiros' poster. We guess that this is just the tip of the iceberg and there's a lot more to be seen until the movie releases on December 19.
Aamir Khan's last movie 'Dhoom 3' had broken all box-office records and entered the 500 crore club, thereby becoming one of its kind to have profited so much. And looking at the strategies made by the perfectionist, we guess his movie 'PK' will definitely break all records and even earn more than 'Dhoom 3'.

These Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil Versions of Aamir Khan's Hindi Songs Are Beyond Epic

These Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Telugu and Tamil Versions of Aamir Khan's Hindi Songs Are Beyond Epic

Since Aamir Khan is trending thanks to the nearly-naked poster from Rajkumar Hirani's PK, we decided to dig up some of the most amazing videos ever to keep Aamir fans happily entertained. What we found confirmed that the internet is truly a goldmine.

Once you hear these popular Aamir Khan songs dubbed in Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu, the original versions may never seem as much fun again. You've been warned.

1. First up is Khambe Jaisi Khadi Hai from the Madhuri Dixit-Aamir Khan starrer Dil in *drumroll* Gujarati. Not sure about you, but this is definitely the best thing we've heard all week.

2. Bhojpuri is always fun and when you bring Perfectionist Khan into the picture, it becomes even more amazing. Presenting the evergreen Tu Pyar Hai Kisi Aur Ka from Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin in Bhojpuri. The epic-ness of it all is just too much to handle.

3. Aamir Khan's super-duper hit Aati Kya Khandala in Marathi. Just WHAT more do you want in life?

4. Ram Gopal Varma's Rangeela becomes Rangeli and Kya Kare Kya Na Kare becomes Emi cheyyavachu.  This Telugu version will make your heart pound for the magical Rangeela stars, Aamir and Urmila

5. Aamir's anti-hero act in Dhoom 3 made waves all across the world except in the hearts and minds of film critics. But this, this utterly brilliant Tamil version of the title track would make even the harshest critic melt. Not kidding. Just listen:

Which version do you love best?

Shell out a little more for Salman Khan's Kick

Every Salman Khan fan is waiting for this Friday when Kick will hit the theatres. But there is a bad news for the audiences who are planning to watch the film.

It is being said that the cost of tickets for Kick will go up by 15 to 20 percent. There is a trend nowadays of hiking the ticket prices for big ticket films and then Kick is a festive release with Eid around the corner. So exhibitors are aiming to gain from the hype.

Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in Kick

Releasing on 25th July, Kick also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

As per the buzz ticket prices for the morning shows may not go up.

In the past, films like Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger, Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Chennai Express, Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar, and Aamir Khan's Talaash and Dhoom 3 have seen higher ticket prices.

Hrithik Roshan to Salman Khan: Bollywood actors who are second choices

As Hrithik Roshan gears up to play the lead in Ashutosh Gowariker’s next, based on the Indus Valley civilisation (in a film called Mohenjo-Daro), not many know that Sushant Singh Rajput had been in talks for the same role.

But even as Hrithik takes over from Sushant, the latter, coincidentally, is set to star in Shekhar Kapur’s next – Paani – a futuristic project set in Mumbai – which was earlier supposed to feature Hrithik in the lead.

"Originally, Gowariker had offered the film to Hrithik. In between, when it seemed like the actor wouldn’t be able to take it up, he was in talks with Sushant," says an insider.

On being contacted, Gowariker says, "Hrithik has always been the first choice. Clearly, Mohenjo Daro was destined to be made with him, as three years later, we are ready to begin shoot."

Meanwhile, Sushant says (via a text response), "All I know is that I’m a part of Paani next, and wouldn’t like to comment on any other project."

However, this isn’t the only coincidence. Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor were in a similar situation last year. Ranveer was the first choice for Anurag Kashyap’s  Bombay Velvet; when he couldn’t take it up (due to date issues), Ranbir was signed. Again, after Ranbir opted out of Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do, Ranveer replaced him.

Ranveer, on being contacted, says, "After the film is made, no one cares who it was offered to [first]. Such things become irrelevant very fast. For me, it has absolutely no significance. It didn’t matter to me what the history of the casting was."Did you know.

Dibakar Banerjee and Sushant Singh Rajput have announced their upcoming film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. Browse through and checkout the men in Kolkata.

Aamir Khan turned down Darr (1993), which was later done by Shah Rukh Khan. Years later, SRK said no to Lagaan (2001) and 3 Idiots (2009), which were taken up by Aamir.
Salman Khan was offered Baazigar (1993) and later Chak De! India (2007). Both were taken up by Shah Rukh Khan.

Later, Shah Rukh Khan was offered Ek Tha Tiger (2012), which eventually starred Salman.

Rumours suggest that Katrina Kaif turned down Chennai Express (2013) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), both of which went to Deepika Padukone.

Again, Deepika Padukone was apparently the first choice for Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and Dhoom:3 (2013), which eventually featured Katrina.

Salman Khan Turns Endorser For Subhash Ghai’s Kaanchi

Salman Khan Subhash Main cover

Known to promote and market his friend’s films, bollywood Superstar Salman Khan has taken it upon himself now to help promote Subhash Ghai’s upcoming film, Kaanchi.

Last December, Salman took to aggressively promoting his friend Aamir Khan’s action flick Dhoom 3, using the platform of the reality TV show, he hosts, Bigg Boss, to the maximum. In March, Salman has now turned to another friend, Subhash Ghai, and is helping promote his film.

Salman “Bhai” took to social networking site twitter last night, in order to spread the word about Kaanchi. Starring debutantes Mishti and Karthik Aryan, Kaanchi is Subhash Ghai’s return to cinema, after a hiatus of nearly five years. His last film, Yuvraaj, starring Salman in the lead, unfortunately bombed at the Box Office.

Salman Khan posted on twitter, after watching and allegedly loving the trailer of Ghai’s upcoming film: “Saw the promo of Kaanchi? Quiet nice na? Happy for Subhash Ghai, its beautifully shot, hope it does well. Best of luck Subhash Ghai.”

In the meanwhile, Subhash Ghai released the much awaited Kaanchi Anthem for the film. The song has been shot in rural localities and it exhibits the fearless and cheerful life of the lead character Kaanchi,  in her village.

With vocals by Sukhwinder and lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil, the song wonderfully captures Mishti’s charisma and composer Ismail Darbar’s soulful music.

Kaanchi is directed by Subhash Ghai and is slated to release on April 25, 2014. Kaanchi also features Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Rishabh Sinha in pivotal roles.

Well, we certainly hope that Salman Khan’s fans all heed his advice, and turn up for Kaanchi, making it a huge success indeed at the Box Office.

Is Salman Khan still protective about ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif?

Is Salman Khan still protective about ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif?

The Dhoom:3 heroine and Jai Ho actor might not be a couple anymore, but they definitely share a bond even today

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s relationship has been the fodder for gossip mills for very long. This couple parted amicably. Sallu in an interview had assured that Katrina and he ‘were friends, are friends and will be friends forever’, so we are not surprised when we spot this duo share a comfortable hug and chat when they bump into each other unlike other ex-couples in Bollywood. Recently when Karan Johar rated Ms Kaif low on honesty, the Kick hero was out there to vouch for her.

Karan Johar might have grilled many superstars on his hit chat show Koffee with Karan 4, so SK decided to interrogate the host himself. Unlike KJo who lets his stars answer candidly, Mr Khan decided to cross-question Johar’s answers. Especially when he insisted that Karan rate Kat high on the honesty meter. We’re sure the Dabangg dude must have surprised the audience, fans and Karan but not Katrina.

When the Bang Bang actor was asked about this episode, the actor said, “We should always respect what Salman says.” Well, we wonder what Kat’s beau Ranbir Kapoor has to say to this. BollywoodLifers, do you think Salman Khan still nurtures a soft corner for Katrina Kaif?

Produced by Eros and Sohail Khan Productionz, the Salman Khan hit has appeared on approximately 5,000 screens worldwide starting on January 24, 2014.
Jai Ho also started on a slow note in the international arena. The film, however, picked up and fared exceptionally well in UAE-GCC region, Pakistan and USA-Canada with the collections of Rs 22.38 crore. Overall, it managed to collect $4.5 million (Rs 28.20 crore) till Wednesday. In Pakistan, Jai Ho collected Rs 2.21 crore in the opening weekend.
