Hrithik Roshan in Gowariker's 'Mohenjo Daro'

After `Lagaan` and `Jodha-Akbar`, Ashutosh Gowariker is all set to present another period drama – `Mohenjo-Daro`. The good news is that he is bringing back Hrithik Roshan for the movie.

Hrithik, after his divorce with Sussanne Roshan, was facing a slump and for a long time speculations kept coming up about which movie he would sign after `Bang Bang`. He was shying away from the media, and even pulled out of Karan Johar`s `Shuddhi`. 

But in his latest post on Twitter, the actor all but confirmed working with Ashutosh for the movie which is scheduled to go on floors in October this year. The film is apparently in its pre-production stage. It has not yet been confirmed who is going to be cast in the female lead.

Manoj Kumar, Gowariker to get Maha film awards

Veteran actor Manoj Kumar will be conferred with the Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award constituted by the Maharashtra Government, official sources said.

Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker has been selected for the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award, the sources said.

The Raj Kapoor Award honours achievers from the Hindi film industry.

The V Shantaram award will been conferred on noted actress Asha Kale for her lifetime contribution to Marathi cinema while actor-filmmaker Sachin Pilgaonkar will be presented with the V Shantaram Special Contribution Award.

The award winners will be presented with memento, citation and cash prize of Rs 2 lakh each.

The awards will be given away by Chief Minister Ashok Chavan at a function at the Gateway of India here on April 27.

Ashutosh Gowariker wins Raj Kapoor Award

MUMBAI: Ashutosh Gowariker, who mesmerised both Indian and international audiences with his epic films and won numerous awards, will now be the proud winner of the Raj Kapoor special contribution state award.

The award will be given to him on 27 April by Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chauhan at a function to be held at the Gateway of India in Mumbai.

Earlier, Gowariker was nominated for an Academy and an European Film Award. He has won a number of other awards, including a National Film Award, five Filmfare Awards and seven international film festival awards.

The Raj Kapoor Award, given by the state government, honours achievers from the Hindi film industry.
