Star diary

Sonam

Sonam Kapoor has always nurtured a desire to work with her father and looks like her dream might finally come true. The actress has been signed on by Yash Raj Films to star in a film with her father, Anil Kapoor. Though they are going to be sharing screen space together, they will not be playing father-daughter in the film. Sonam, who was busy with the promotions of Punit Malhotra’s I hate Luv Storys and her father’s film Aisha, has just left for a two-month long schedule to Edinburgh for Pankaj Kapoor’s Mausam. The latest news is that Sonam will also be seen in the remake of Walt Disney Productions’ Jamie Lee Curtis-Lindsay Lohan starrer, Freaky Friday. Anil Kapoor has reportedly bought the rights of the film and will be producing it under his banner. The film will go on the floors by the end of the year, once all the formalities are complete.
Saif Ali Khan is the latest actor to join the bandwagon of endorsing mobilephones. The actor recently announced that he will be endorsing Wynncom dual SIM mobile handsets and telecom. He was already endorsing Airtel along with Lays, Asian Paints Royale and Taj Mahal Tea. After the success of Love Aaj Kal, the actor’s production house - Illuminati Films - is now producing Agent Vinod. Directed by Shriram Raghavan, the action adventure stars Saif and lady-love Kareena Kapoor. It went on the floors on May 28. After Omkara, Saif is said to be planning to work with Vishal Bhardwaj. They are currently working out the details. The film will hopefully start rolling early next year.
Priyanka Chopra is currently shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf in Mysore. The actress, who was completely cut off from everything while shooting in Coorg, is ecstatic that she is back in a place where she has connectivity. Saat Khoon Maaf has Chopra playing wife to seven husbands. The film is based on Ruskin Bond’s Susanna’s Seven Husbands. The actress is also simultaneously preparing for Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi. Priyanka will host the show and also perform death-defying stunts in the new season. Reportedly, the show will have cricketers as contestants and though nothing has been finalised as yet the actress has already started training for the show and starts shooting in July in Brazil.
