Famous Bollywood stars who secretly did B-grade film

Bollkywood starlet Meghna Naidu set the silver screen on fire with actor Himanshu Malik in 2004 with movie ‘Hawas’

Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar was a part of many b-grade films like Haseena.

During the initial stage of career, Bollywood’s 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar played a role in the B-grade movie 'Mr.Bond'.

Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni too worked in B-grade films like ‘Divine Temple Khajuraho’.

‘The Shaukeens’ review: Nothing much lifts of in the movie

The free-spirited Lisa Haydon, who was so good in ‘Queen’, quickly becomes tiresome.

The Shaukeens movie review: The free-spirited Lisa Haydon, who was so good in ‘Queen’, quickly becomes tiresome

Three dirty old men `leching’ at a pretty young thing is what ‘The Shaukeens’ sets out to show. If it had stuck to its guns, made its threesome more interesting, and the girl less ditsy, this remake of Basu Chatterjee’s ‘Shaukeen’ (1982), would have done its job.
But the reprise mixes a star (Akshay Kumar) swanning about playing himself, and doing, I might add, a better job than he has in his last few films, which takes away from the chief focus. Which is not such a bad thing, because the trio of dirty old men KD, Lali and Pinky (Anuu Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Piyush Mishra) is dull: when they are on screen, nothing much lifts off, not even the object of their desire, the lissome bikini-clad (Lisa Haydon) cavorting in the lovely blue ocean in Mauritius, where most of the film is set in.
The free-spirited Lisa Haydon, who was so good in ‘Queen’, quickly becomes tiresome. You can see she is trying hard, but she can’t do anything about the way her character has been written. And that’s the problem with the men, too. The little details — Rati Agnihotri was in the original ‘Shaukeen’, and has a cameo here as Anupam Kher’s not-interested wife;  Piyush Mishra plays a ‘masala’ king with a ‘non-masala’ life with a soft spot for a massage girl; and Annu Kapoor is the ‘dil-phenk’ bachelor with a sad back-story—could have been made much more of.
It is Akshay Kumar, playing himself, or rather a superstar like himself with a thing for alcohol and a sudden yen for actorly respectability via a National award, who is the best part of the film. This is the star getting away from the things he pokes fun at— “same helicopter se latakna, same car chases” etc which lead to the ‘200 crore club’, and finding his funny bone. But those jokes get stretched, and finally we stop even faintly sniggering, like we did at the occasional haha-inducing lines.
And how much crassness can be stuffed into a film? After its third mention, I stopped counting the times ‘tharki’ and ‘buddhas’ were said in the same breath.

Hot Or Not: Kalki, Lisa, Gutthi At Myntra Fashion Weekend

featured-myntra

Kalki Koechlin, Lisa Haydon, Ali Zafar, Gutthi aka Sunil Grover and Mandira Bedi amongst others, walked the ramp for an event in Mumbai recently. They were the showstopper at Myntra Fashion Weekend. The collection was not exactly theme based, but a variety of clothing was seen.

It was Day 3 of Myntra Fashion Weekend where entertainment seemed to be a basic theme as Kalki Koechlin and Cyrus Broacha; Gutthi and Mandira Bedi walked the ramp.
Spontaneous actress Kalki Koechlin was seen showing her magic on stage in a pretty mini white floral and a bow tied like Minnie Mouse. The accessories on her, however, spoke of serious business, in contrast to her fun clothing.
Lisa Haydon, last seen in Queen, walked the ramp in a sleek floral off-shoulder gown. She kept her look simple with minimum accessories. The Indian- australian actress who is a top model, a fashion designer too, is currently working on The Shaukeens with Akshay Kumar, a remake of the 1982 film of the same name.
Singer turned actor Ali Zafar also walked the ramp in trousers. He turned nostalgic when he walked the ramp, because he started his film career from modeling, like almost half the filmy population.
Gutthi aka Sunil Grover, dressed as the former, was also made to walk the ramp. It was a funny twist, as he portrayed his character just perfect on the ramp, with the clothing too. Gutthi wore a Mandira Bedi collection, a hot pink sari, two pink ribboned ponytails, a huge red bindi and sneakers underneath. Mandira herself however came dressed in casuals with a sleeveless black top and denims.
Also spotted was Aashish Chaudhary in a grey suit and some cool aviators on him. He was last seen on TV in Ek Mutthi Aasmaan and his film Total Dhamaal will be releasing in 2015.
Producer-director Karan Johar of Dharma Productions made his debut in the fashion industry during the Myntra Fashion Weekend, on Day 2, through Vero Moda.

Sex symbols of Bollywood

‘Irresistibly sexy’ was not a phrase which the media used freely earlier. If Dev Anand were to act today – provided he added a few packs and walked bare-chested – he would have been definitely called that and not a ‘charming man who swept women off their feet.’ But, modern times are liberal times. Movies do not hide sex scenes by showing roses and friendly pigeons onscreen. Television doesn’t hesitate to talk about sex appeal frankly. Indian online media is as frank as the others: quite naturally, if one wishes to cater to the changed mindset of today’s times. Presenting a list of sex symbols, out of which the tenth choice depends on you, dear reader.

Sunny Leone The tag of a former porn star notwithstanding and in spite of not having more than one hit on her Bollywood’s curriculum vitae, Sunny is a huge sex symbol in town. Ask fifty percent of the nation’s population: in other words, men. A high percentage will cast their votes in her favour.

John Abraham There was a time when this guy couldn’t act to save his life. Now, he acts pretty well as was seen in Madras Cafe. But that one candid moment in Dostana is something nobody has been able to forget: because of dislike, envy, awe, whatever. John, yes even now, is a happening sex symbol, although Bipasha Basu may be inclined to disagree.

Priyanka Chopra Some people just hate her. Many cannot stand her singing. But ask the others who are her fans, and you will come across numerous people who just cannot look beyond her. What helps her case is that she is a fine actress too, which showed in her films like 7 Khoon Maaf, Kaminey and Fashion among others.

Ranbir Kapoor If you take a look at him, ‘cute’ sounds like a better and more appropriate word. But, then he takes off his shirt, and many among his fans go ‘ahhhh.’ This chap acts really well, as seen in Rockstar and Barfi among other films. But the single most popular moment of his entire career is from his disastrous debut: Saawariya. Remember him draped in a towel? You should.

Katrina Kaif Katrina is very interesting. She looks extremely attractive on most occasions. But give her an item number (Tees Maar Khan) or another show-stopping song (Dhoom:3), and she transforms herself into a diva who is uninhibited, hot and stunning. Among the chart-toppers any day.

Eyes on Bollywood glory

Tamannah shares her dreams on tour for new film. Having done more than 30 films in Telugu and Tamil, Tamannah Bhatia is a wellknown name down South. However, Bollywood remains the litmus test of her success.

The star of several hits in the South, Tamannah's innings in Bollywood started on the wrong note, with her debut film Himmatwala tanking at the box- office.

But, undeterred by the setback, she is now looking to make a distinct impression in her second Hindi release, Humshakals . Tamannah knows it won't be easy, given the ensemble cast comprising three established male actors and two other female leads that director Sajid Khan has put together for the film.
She sees it as a welcome challenge, though. " It is only when one makes a mark in a film with several big stars and two more actresses that one feels accomplished as an actor," she says. " A good job gets recognised, so I focused on my work instead of getting alarmed by the presence of others in the film," she adds.

Tamannah, along with Sajid and costars Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor and Esha Gupta, visited the India Today Mediaplex on Tuesday to promote the comedy, set for release this Friday. Loosely inspired by William Shakespeare's The Comedy Of Errors , the film is about three people, each with as many lookalikes, and the confusion in their lives.

Making a debut with a flop like Himmatwala , but one starring veteran Ajay Devgn, had its perks, feels Tamannah. " At least the film was talked about," she jokes. " The best thing about being cast in a big- budget film opposite a superstar is its massive reach. The audience anxiously waits for films with big stars who enjoy a massive fan following. As a newcomer, I got my share of popularity," she says.
Tamannah started out in films at the age of 14.

" Desperate to work in films, I simply marched into southern films. The work that came my way was a natural progression," says Tamannah ( 24), who will next be seen in Sajid- Farhad's It's Entertainment opposite Akshay Kumar. Aware of the fact that the new brigade of actors in Bollywood is placing greater emphasis on experimentation, Tamannah too is looking for a challenging script while choosing her next. " I have done big films with established actors but the challenging part of my career will start now. I am looking for an offbeat script with a stronger character to prove my mettle," she says.

Akshay, Aditya kickstart their self-defence initiative for women

Akshay Kumar and Aditya Thackeray announced the launch of their initiative, Women's Safety Defence Centre, on Friday afternoon.

The actor said that their idea was to give free coaching to women in self-defence so they can fight off untoward advances from men. The batches will start at Andheri Sports Complex on June 29 and the actor will double up as visiting faculty once in a while too. At the onset, Akshay maintained that their's was not a political alliance, but a human alliance

"I've been wanting to start an initiative like this for a few years now and have suggested it to national leaders. I'm glad that Aditya feels the same and is equally eager to take this forward," said the superstar, adding that while the initial batches will be held twice a week, they will increase the number of sessions and venues in the coming months. When questioned if he has been a witness to any eve-teasing incident, the actor recalled, "Once, while I was going somewhere with a friend, I saw a man misbehaving with a lady. I stopped my car and got out and hit the guy." About the kind of training that will be given to women, he explained, "There won't be particular outfits/uniforms for the sessions.

The self-defence techniques will be in keeping with what women wear in their day-to-day lives. Also, they'll be trained to be alert so if need be they can use the props around to ward off the attacker. Besides, they will also be taught to not give anyone a chance to catch them unawares.. like not sitting in their cars and messaging on phone, because someone can attack while their attention is on the phone."

When asked if he felt the content and projection of women in films was also to be blamed, Aditya said, "Films are fictional. If a film has terrorist using bombs, does it mean that you will also do the same in real? Likewise, if there's a scene in which a man is teasing a woman, doesn't mean that you do the same too. Actors are aware of their responsibility as idols. That's also why Akshay has been pushing for such an initiative for women."

Small stunts can also kill you: Akshay Kumar

Small stunts can also kill you: Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar has jumped off a building’s terrace and engaged in a violent fist fight for his forthcoming film ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’. But he believes that small or big, one needs to be cautious while doing any stunt as it can be fatal.

When asked if agile body, sharp memory and rational mind are required for doing risky scenes, he said: “I agree, but it’s not just for difficult stunts. Even a small jump from a stool requires all of that. We can’t take small stunts for granted because the biggest stunt doesn’t get you hurt. It’s the small stunt that can kill you.”

For the forthcoming actioner, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the makers roped in popular British stuntman Greg Powell, known for his work in Hollywood`s super hit franchises such as ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘James Bond’, to ensure that each stunt is executed well. And Akshay says that the action sequences will certainly surprise the audience.

“My director loves realism. That’s why when you will see the fight sequences, you will be surprised. It’s all real fight. I got to do AKIRU (a form of martial art),” said the 46-year-old, who plays an army officer in the film.
The realism doesn’t end with a few action moves. He says that the entire movie, shot in Mumbai and the capital, was filmed outside studios.

“We have not even entered a studio for the film. All were shot in real locations. The director refused to go near studio for the film. It was great working on real locations because it’s not easy when public is there but we did manage everything,” said Akshay.

He goes on to say that even when the film`s producer Vipul Shah suggested to shoot in a studio with a fake ship, Murugadoss refused.

“We did a climax on a ship. The director wanted to shoot on a real ship. It was little difficult to get permission to shoot on ship but we got it for a few days,” said the actor, who has often collaborated with Shah.

The two came together and gave blockbusters like ‘Waqt - Race Against Time’, ‘Singh is Kinng’ and ‘Namastey London’.

“The kind of films he (Shah) makes is the kind that I also like. We get along very well. That’s why we succeeded in making six to seven films by now,” said Akshay.

Akshay may lead the cast of the film, but he feels Murugadoss is the hero of ‘Holiday…’.

Akshay is all praise for the ‘Ghajini’ director and gives a lot of credit to the latter for the way the movie has come out.

“I met them (police officials and families) for a while but Murugadoss has been in touch with them for the last three years and tried to get whatever he could to incorporate in the film, so he did more homework than all of us put together,” he said.

“The whole film is dedicated to the Indian Army. The subject i.e sleeper cells that’s the highlight of the film. We think we know terrorism but how they operate is the best highlight of the film and the biggest USP is my director. He is the hero of the film,” he added.

Presented by Reliance Entertainment, ‘Holiday...’ will hit theatres June 6.

Akshay, Rekha best dressed in showbiz: Deepika

Akshay, Rekha best dressed in showbiz: Deepika

Deepika Padukone is a style icon herself, but according to her actor Akshay Kumar is the best dressed man in the Hindi film industry while veteran actress Rekha is her favourite from among women.

Deepika has shared screen space with Akshay in "Chandni Chowk To China", "Housefull" and "Desi Boyz."

"The best dressed man (in the industry) is Akshay Kumar. It`s purely his effortlessness that makes him look the way he does. I think the fact that he has always been so athletic that really adds to the way he carries off clothes," the actress told reporters here Thursday.

Among women, Deepika named veteran actress Rekha as her top choice when it comes to dressing.

"She is someone who has always dressed the way she wants to. Trends have come and gone, but she stands by something she believes in and she has stood by that and I appreciate that," said the actress on the sidelines of the launch of a limited collection of Van Heusen designed by her, Thursday.

Deepika is currently busy shooting for Farah Khan`s "Happy New Year".

Inside the Zee awards 2014

The long-winded show was packed with enough action, drama and laughs to keep everyone there until 4am

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone had a wish: “I hope this awards show doesn’t go on for five hours. I barely had three hours of sleep.” She spoke too soon. Saturday’s Zee Cine Awards 2014 ran on into the early hours. But did she have fun? Oh yes, she and 400-plus guests gathered at Mumbai’s Film City will vouch that the Zee Awards 2014 were as entertaining and as long as an epic Bollywood romance — a happier version of Devdas, if you will.
And the stars who made it all happen went beyond a crutch-ridden Shah Rukh Khan, who introduced the Best Film nominees with a skit. There was action hero Akshay Kumar, Lootera star Sonakshi Sinha, the ever-effusive Ranveer Singh and self-deprecating hosts Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh to keep the show rolling.
As Bachchan put it: “We must be really good at this if people are still glued to their seats at 3am”. While they were good, there was another reason why people stuck it out. Saving the best for last was Kumar. Making an entry on a motorbike at top speed, he zipped in from a ramp built on the side amongst the audience and onto the stage. And as soon as he reached the stage, he jumped off the bike, which spun out of control. There was a minor explosion and a dazzling display of pyrotechnics. His perfectly executed action gig was like a much-needed caffeine shot (come on, it was 3.30am, Sunday) and was a relief from the usual romantic song-dance numbers at award ceremonies.
Clad in a military uniform, Kumar was in top form as he danced to his hits, including Party All Night. If that didn’t snap you awake, the artificial rain that poured down would have done the job. There was water everywhere, but Kumar forged ahead and moved to the beat with drum rolls and all. He’s no expert dancer like Shahid Kapoor, but what he lacked in grace he made up for by playing to his macho title. In the end, he was snapped up by a wire as fireworks strapped to his back went off.
Another surprise was Sonakshi Sinha’s stage act, as the newly slim actress danced to Gandi Baat and Sari Ka Fall Sa (from R … Rajkumar) with impressive agility (clearly, the time spent with choreographer and R … Rajkumar director Prabhu Deva has done her a world of good). But when it came to mastering the art of multiple dress changes, the award goes to Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela star Ranveer Singh. That man can move and change jackets in a snap. His act was an ode to the stars who shaped Bollywood over the last few decades. Be it Amitabh Bachchan’s Chumma Chumma De De or Shah Rukh Khan’s Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhen or Hrithik Roshan’s Ek Pal Ka Jeena, Singh proved that he possessed the charisma to pull off songs that he did not make popular. (He showed his sporting side later in the evening when he danced in the audience as Kumar was on stage)
But the glue that held the evening together was the notoriously charming Shah Rukh Khan. Despite his recent leg injury, he forged ahead like a soldier, introducing films that made it to the Best Film nominations list. While he praised each, from Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to his own Chennai Express, it was his comic skit for Aashiqui 2 that got thunderous applause. Khan took a strand about unconditional love and dedicated the romantic song Tum Hi Ho to all domestic helpers out there. His act, with dancers holding brooms and mops, could be deemed derogatory but Khan’s earnest appreciation of unskilled labour just brought a smile to most faces at ZCA. His spoof on Chennai Express was also a big hit. We loved the bit where Deepika Padukone was carried (yes, carried) on stage by stand-up comedian Bharti Singh. It was a scene inspired from Chennai Express but to see the rotund Bharti successfully lift the statuesque actress (who was squealing with fear and delight) up the steps was riveting. While the show rambled on, it was good to see Bachchan Jr indulge in a good dose of ribbing about its meandering nature. “Don’t worry guys, we just have about four hours to go,” said Bachchan at 2am. If that wasn’t enough: “A big shout to my dear friend Ali Morani who’s seated in the front row. Guys if you are looking for someone to discuss the length of the show, he’s your man.” Funnily enough, while Chetan Bhagat extolled the virtues of good story being the key to a brilliant film, Bachchan retorted: ‘look at us, we are living proof that you don’t need a screenplay to get people glued to their seats for more than three hours.” These well-timed jibes helped in making us last through a long-winded, but enjoyable show.

Bollywood Goes Experimental With Unusual Jodis

Ajay Devgan & Konkona Sen
By india-server.com

Bollywood is now going experimental and trying unusual lead pairs like Akshay Kumar-Chitrangada Singh, Irrfan Khan-Priyanka Chopra, Abhay Deol-Sonam Kapoor and also Ajay Devgan-Kangana Ranaut. Much of this can be attributed to the offbeat scripts and the new age themes.

The audiences will now get to see Chitrangada of “Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi” fame with Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar in Rohit Dhawan's “Desi Boys”. Also our very own Priyanka Chopra or Piggy Chops has been paired opposite Irrfan Khan in Vishal Bharadwaj's “Saat Khoon Maaf”. Apart from these two jodis, Abhay Doel, best known for his offbeat cinema will share screen space with the very commercial Sonam Kapoor in “Aisha”. Ajay Devgan too, is part of the experimental bandwagon and will work opposite Kangana Ranaut in Ekta Kapoor's forthcoming “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai” which is a movie based on underworld.

Film critic Omar Qureshi, feels that the shifting trend id due to the fact that it is difficult to get two big stars to work together due to their busy schedules. He says, “There are a handful of big stars and many a time directors run out of stars because of their busy schedules. These days scripts give directors the freedom to experiment and give a fresh look to the story.”

He added, “Now people are looking for performances in films. Star value is not the only unique selling proposition of the movie, unlike earlier when we mostly saw fixed pairings of Dharmendra with Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachchan with Jaya Bachchan.”

Film critic Anupama Chopra spoke about Karan Johar’s “Wake Up Sid” that was being viewed as a big risk before its release. After the movie released, however, it appealed to the audiences and eve to the critics. She says, “Konkona was the perfect match for that role. The role demanded someone who did not look like a typical teen but someone who is mature, unlike the slacker played by Ranbir.”

She adds, “There is a dearth of good and saleable stars in the Hindi film industry, which produces more than 200 films in a year. When it comes to casting, the choice usually boils down to four Khans, Hrithik and Abhishek and the topmost four heroines.”

The unusual pairing has worked for Konkana even before in “Omkara” with Saif Ali Khan and in “Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge” with Ajay Devgan.

It has however, not always worked. Irrfan Khan’s pairing up with Lara Dutta in “Billu” and with Juhi Chawla in “Krazzy 4” did not work while his “Namesake” opposite Tabu was appreciated.

Akshay Kumar steps in Padmalakshmi's shoes

/photo.cms?msid=5944073
By Sonal Chawla/TNN

After hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi , Akshay Kumar is ready to return back to his first love through a new television show. The chef-turned-actor will host his next reality show, which is on the lines of the American competition show Top Chef.

A source reveals, “Akshay was the face of Khatron Ke Khiladi . But then, suddenly one heard that Priyanka Chopra will be hosting the third season of Khatron Ke Khiladi . In fact, there were rumours that Akshay had suggested her name. After Priyanka replaced him in the third season of the adventure reality show, Akshay had announced that he would be back on television and that he was considering several ideas. Buzz was that the actor was keen to turn producer with his next TV show.”

“The actor has finalised on the idea of hosting Top Chef . Talks are on with a production house and things are slowly but surely getting finalised. Akshay is currently working out the show details including the changes they need to make in the show format so that the new version suits Indian sensibilities,” adds the source.

Akshay immediately agreed to host this show as it’s a fresh format quite unlike the various dance and music reality shows on television. Contrary to the tough image he is associated with, Akshay will project a far more interactive and friendly image in the new show. According to the show format, there will be a panel of judges, which might include some actors and also professional chefs, and participants from all across the country.

Akshay is currently shooting for Anees Bazmee’s Thank You in Canada. “The show should start by August first week by when Akshay is expected to work out his dates,” adds the source.

The channel neither confirmed nor denied the news. Akshay Kumar was unavailable for comment.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Top Chef is an American reality competition show, which started in 2006. The show has chefs competing against each other after which they are judged by a panel of professional chefs and other notable people from the food and wine industry. The American version is currently in its seventh season with hosts Katie Lee Joel and Padma Lakshmi. So far there have been 61 guest judges on the show. Of these, 20 have won the Food and Wine Best New Chef Award.

Akshay's successful transition from casanova to geek!

view AKSHAY KUMAR picture gallery
By Abid, Bollywood Trade News Network

With his latest film HOUSEFULL off to a thumping start, Akshay Kumar can heave a sigh of relief. The star has once again, after DE DANA DAN, silenced all and the grand opening week of HOUSEFULL (much better than DE DANA DAN) has only confirmed that the 'Khiladi' has lost none of his charm nor his fan following.

It has also strengthened our belief that the audience now loves Akshay Kumar in his simpleton, geeky roles and it appears that Akki has put the 'Khiladi' image (literally speaking) behind him!

If we look in the past we can safely say that Akshay's recent hits like HOUSEFULL (expected), DE DANA DAN, SINGH IS KINNG, NAMASTEY LONDON and WELCOME all had him in his well loved, geeky 'avatar'. Although a recent film that failed, CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA did have Akshay in his geeky 'avatar' but can be called an exception to the rule.

In fact most of the films in recent times where Akshay has essayed the role of a casanova like BLUE, KAMBAKKHT ISHQ etc have failed to impress. And it seems that director Sajid Khan (whose very first film, the super hit HEYY BABYY had Akshay Kumar playing a casanova) knew this and so in his second and latest film HOUSEFULL Akshay appears in his nerdy avatar. A simpleton who knows nothing about the birds and bees!

Just check out "I don't know what to do" from HOUSEFULL and one can see that Akshay is really hilarious in the song sequence and the audience it appears has once again given Akshay the thumbs up, and for now geeky is the magical character for him!

MODERN MUMS OF BOLLYWOOD

By Roshni Mulchandani and Faizan Qureshi - BollySpice.com

They're just as normal as any other moms around the world with a single exception; they are popular Bollywood actresses. But this doesn't make them any different. In fact, our Bollywood moms are as normal as they get. They stay up late nights tending to their sick children, turn up at school events and even read them bedtime stories. Some of them are more modern moms and others prefer the traditional methods of upbringing. Whichever way they come, they are Maa's. On the beautiful occasion of Mother's Day, we salute and honor all Mother's around the world. Here's taking a look at some of our favorite Bollywood Moms.

Kajol: Already mom to the very cute Nysa, Kajol will be adding to her family by the end of the year. The award-winning mom has a number of films in the pipeline but has repeatedly claimed she prefers being a mom over any role in her life.

Mahima: Mahima Choudhary indulged in marriage rather quietly and gave birth even more silently. The Pardes actress has disappeared from the Bollywood scene as she is rather happy playing mom to her daughter, Aryana.

Karisma Kapoor: The Kapur nee Kapoor girl is mom to two beautiful children, Samaira and Kiaan Raj Kapoor. While Karisma plays the role of Mom incredibly well, we do hope she finally gets back to acting soon.

Madhuri Dixit: Madhuri Dixit moved to the States and gave birth to two adorable sons, Arin and Rayaan. The dancing queen's career may not have taken off post marriage, but her sons simply adore their famous mom.

Sridevi: Sridevi simply loves her two daughters, Jhanavi and Khushi. In fact, the family production house has used the girl's names in a number of films. It may take some time before we actually see the veteran actress on screen again but until then, she is quite the pretty mom!
