Salman Khan bends rules for Kamaal Amrohi’s grandson Bilal

Salman
Salman Khan would be taking time off for city to city tours with Bilal and Pulkit.

Salman Khan is all praises for newbies Pulkit Samrat and Bilal Amrohi, who will be seen in his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s O Teri.
According to sources from within the production Salman Khan would be taking time off for city to city tours with Bilal and Pulkit, for the first time in his career. In this endeavour, Salman Khan would be shuffling around with his shooting schedules for Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’ and various other commitments to make time for ‘O Teri’.
And Salman Khan’s yatra from the newbies starts in New Delhi this week since the actor is currently shooting for Kick in national capital.
Bilal Amrohi said, “Salman Bhai is in Delhi right now. He has asked Pulkit and me to join him there, so he can promote the film with us. Bhai would be accompanying us on various city tours.”
Bilal admits Salman Khan has never gone so out of his way for any film before. “But then he is more than family to us. The Amrohis are very close to Salman Bhai and his family.”
Salman’s father writer Salim Khan was very close to Bilal’s grandfather, the legendary filmmaker Kamal Amrohi and to Bilal’s father Tajdar Amrohi.
O Teri was planned with Pulkit and Bilal, both favourite protegees of Salman.
Bilal confesses he is closer to Salman’s brother-in-law than to Salman. “I call Alvira Khan (Salman’s sister, Atul Agnihotri’s wife) ‘Baby Maa’. I feel I have three mothers. My biological mother, then my Uncle Shaandar’s wife who has brought me up like her own child and Baby Maa. I am blessed, I guess.”
It was to get away from all this triple-layered mothering that Bilal took a 6-month acting course in Los Angeles.
“I deliberately chose a city where I had no family and friends, to learn acting. I was on my own in LA for six months. That helped me to grow up,” says Bilal who admits the O Teri project first went to his co-star Pulkit Samrat who is Salman’sraakhi-sister’sfiance.
Says Bilal, “It was Pulkit who came across the script. He took it across to Salman Bhai who immediately warmed up to the script and told Atul Agnihotri, ‘Bro-in-law, we have to make this film’. That’s how O Teri happened.”
Bilal can’t wait to see how audiences react to the film. “Pulkit and I play two squabbling Tom & Jerry type TV journalists. We start off as bumbling fools and end up as reluctant heroes. I couldn’t have asked for a better launch and I couldn’t have hoped for better producers to launch me. Salman and his family are like a second family to me.”

Veena's ex admits that she didn't tweet the anti-India remark

Even before Veena Malik started trending on Twitter for her anti-India tweet, Twitterati had started taking digs at her, predicting that she'll soon release a statement saying her account was hacked. And that's exactly what happened. While Veena maintains that her account was hacked in December by her digital manager Prashant Singh, who later started blackmailing and demanding money from her, Prashant says that people have misunderstood this tweet from a "parody account".

He says, "Veena and I have known each other for more than three years. She first met me in 2011 through her Indian manager in Mumbai. It was only in March 2012 that we started seeing each other. We had a live-in relationship. She used to stay at my house and use my car. I've paid her mobile bills and so on. I was going through a bad relationship and was planning to file for divorce, and we had decided to get married. Her sudden marriage to the Dubai-based businessman came as shock to me."
He adds, "I was handling her publicity and my 10 team members were managing her. I had developed her twitter account @iveenamalik, and it was my team who would tweet on her behalf. They are still managing her account. The only difference is that now she doesn't have access to the account anymore. I was very surprised when I started receiving calls this morning, and had no clue about what was going on. I don't think it's an anti-India tweet. People have misunderstood the tweet. It's just a parody account, which is filmi and not real."

When he saw that Veena was trending on Twitter, he sent her a message. He says, "I send her a message on her mobile, saying 'Vinnie... You have been trending since morning', with a smile. It's not a badla. I'm hurt about the way she cheated on me. She has called me a Rs 10,000 employee, a homosexual and so much more. She hurt me, so in return I'm hurting her. Veena needs to apologize. She has not only threatened me but also my mom, who stays in Lucknow. She kept on making stories. I have only created and developed this account, and she never tweeted anything. It was my team who has always tweeted on her behalf. When she got married the team also posted her wedding pictures. I'm fine with her creating a new account. In fact, yesterday Mahesh bhatt ji spoke to me, and it seems that Veena's husband had called him and he wanted me to settle all the matters. I don't have the time and this was not done intentionally. I just want the reality and an apology. I have nothing else to do with her anymore. I just want her to apologize. She is also scared because I have some proofs. But all said and done, I'm sure Veena is loving it and I don't want to get involved in this anymore."

The cricketer apparently had some time on hand before the start of the next series, and he wanted to make the most of it. Deepika ready to turn assistant director for Zoya Akhtar's next

The reigning queen of Bollywood Deepika Padukone is planning to take on a new role now. We are not talking about an upcoming acting project, but that of an assistant director. Deepika has expressed her wish to come on board for Zoya Akhtar's next as an assistant director.

Deepika is intending to take upon the role of an assistant director quite late in her career, as most actors try their hands on the same before they begin their journey as an actor.

However, Deepika is apparently so impressed with the script of Zoya Akhtar's 'Dil Dhadakne Do' that she says she wants to be a part of it in any capacity, even in a non-acting role.
Deepika was quoted saying, "I love the script so much that I am ready to work in any capacity on the film, including an assistant director (AD). But I don't know if I can manage that (working as an AD)."

When asked if Deepika has expressed her desire to Zoya, she said, "Not really...I've met her, but not talked about it (getting associated with the film)."
Deepika's alleged boyfriend Ranveer Singh plays the main lead in the film.

Zoya's directorial venture will also have Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar. There is buzz that Ranveer and Priyanka will play siblings, with Anushka and Farhan opposite them.

His last film, Yuvraaj, starring Salman in the lead, unfortunately bombed at the Box Office.

With vocals by Sukhwinder and lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil, the song wonderfully captures Mishti’s charisma and composer Ismail Darbar’s soulful music.

Exclusive: Deepika Padukone hugs ex-boyfriend Yuvraj Singh in public!

Exclusive: Deepika Padukone hugs ex-boyfriend Yuvraj Singh in public!

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone recently confessed to being in tears after her break-up with former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, who is the heartthrob of the nation. Speaking at the India Today Conclave, she had said that she became a better person after splitting with Ranbir.

Looks like being ‘a better person’ here means still being friends – or friendly – with all your ex-boyfriends! We’re not sure how Dippy girl behaves with Nihar Pandya if ever she bumps into him, and we’re not even considering Sidhartha ‘Sid’ Mallya who seemed to be more her protégé than boyfriend.

Who we’re talking about here is hotshot cricketer Yuvraj Singh. The former India ODI vice-captain and Deepika were quite an item a few years back, and she had even hosted his birthday party. But they fell apart soon, apparently due to the batsman’s possessive nature.

So we were quite surprised to see our Ram-Leela babe go up to Yuvraj and hug him, even as she made an entry on the red carpet at the HT Most Stylish Awards show that was held last weekend in Mumbai. Deepika spotted him at the entrance of the ballroom and promptly turned around to hug him before walking in. Yuvraj too responded warmly (and why wouldn’t he?).

We thought it was quite a sweet gesture on Deepika’s part. But seeing the spontaneity of her jadoo ki jhappi, we wonder if the exes are still in touch – especially after what Yuvraj had to endure in terms of cancer.

But about the moment, all we could think was – thank god Dippy’s current beau Ranveer Singh wasn’t around!

Earlier the film was to be directed by Rumi Jaffrey, who directed 'God Tussi Great Ho'. Later Abhishek Sharma of 'Tere Bin Laden' fame replaced him. The film is scheduled to go on floors in April. Apparently, Nargis Fakhri was being approached for a Hollywood film and she was keen on doing it. She asked the producers of 'Shaukeen' to change the schedule at the last minute which it seems was not possible for them. "I was very excited about 'Shaukeen' and we had been preparing for a while now. There was another opportunity in the pipeline and we tried to work out the dates so that I could be a part of both but the dates were clashing. I couldn't have asked the team to wait for me, so it's heartbreaking but I had to let the film go," Nargis said. "I was really excited to work with the team of 'Shaukeen' and Abhishek Sharma, who is a terrific director. A bond with the film and team members of 'Shaukeen' remains and I wish them all the best," she said.

Shooting with Big B made me feel old: Honey Singh

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, whose numbers are a hit among the Indian youth, is awed by the energy of 71-year-old thespian Amitabh Bachchan, with whom he has recently collaborated for a song.
Yo Yo Honey Singh.

The duo shot a song together, and Honey Singh can't stop raving about the Big B.
"It's like being in a room filled with kinetic energy. Shooting with the Big B made me feel so old and inadequate. Not for a minute does he remind you of who he is. In fact, I felt I was with someone much younger than me," said the rapper, who turns 31 this month.

"Bachchan sahab was the coolest and youngest one on our crew. Every time he came on the sets, the energy level went up by many notches. When he left, we actually felt the energy level drop. He has the energy level of a 22-year-old," he added.

The song that they shot is a promotional video for Big B's forthcoming release Bhoothnath Returns, and the rapper, often reprimanded for his bold and crass lyrics, made sure the words used were not "even remotely irreverent".

"I had to be very careful. It is okay to use casual trendy words for the younger stars. But the Big B is a star of stars," said Honey Singh, who says he spent sleepless nights trying to be politically correct for the Big B.
"It isn't as if we decided to be prim and proper in the song. There is a great deal of masti (fun) in our number.

Bachchan sahab likes to have fun with the young. But I had to exercise self-censorship for the first time because this was for Bachchan sahab, and it was going to be incorporated into a film targeted at children," he said.
The song was shot over two days. At the end of the shooting, Honey Singh and his gang organised a party on the sets.
"We had this huge cake which said, 'Thank You, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan' and we partied hard at the end of the song. Bachchan sahab has spoilt me. He is addictive. Everyone who works with him wants to do so again. So, how am I an exception? Yes, I've plans of doing more music with the Big B," he said.
