Mani Ratnam's behemoth is reaching a feverish pitch as the June 18 release date closes in.
To generate further publicity, makers have released new stills from the movie, showcasing Raavan'sbreathtaking locales and how director Mani Ratnam pushed hard to squeeze out every bit of drama from Santosh Sivan's camera.
Believed to be one of Indian cinema's most elaborately shot films, Raavan's Tamil and Hindi versions were shot alongside, a technique which put actors like Vikram - who had to blurt out lines in both languages and change wardrobes in minutes - under considerable stress.
The shoot itself was plagued with logistical nightmares, some involving rogue elephants and extremely rough terrain, inaccessible to most vehicles.
All summed up, the effort behind Raavan is starting to show and if these incredible stills are any sign of what is to come, we're taking the front row.
