Indian film actor, director and producer Aamir Khan shares his one 'big idea to change the world' at the first anniversary issue of 'Forbes India'.
Aamir Khan was amongst the persons who unveiled the magazine at Landmark Lower Parel, Mumbai.
Aamir's one 'big idea to change the world' is the education system. He said that the teaching job should be the highest paying job in India.
Aamir’s views about the education system
According to the Bollywood star, Aamir Khan, teachers should be paid higher as they teach children and build up a better life and future of the child.

At the 1st anniversary of Forbes India Magazine, Aamir said, “By and large, people go for teaching who don’t find jobs elsewhere. So if I don’t find a job elsewhere I will get into teaching. Therefore the cream of minds from every field ends up going into business or something else to achieve success in their lives. The reason is that our teaching jobs don’t pay much.”
“For me as a part of society, we give maximum value to the teachers, which mean the teaching jobs should be the highest paying. So after getting an education of higher level, a student should feel that his first choice should be to be a teacher because they will feel much more respected, will have a better pay scale, a better life,” he said.
Quality education is most important
Aamir's two continuous blockbusters 'Taare Zameen Par' and '3 Idiots' made people think about updating the education system. Aamir said that the betterment of the society can only be done through good and quality education system.

He believes that students should not be forced to read but they should be encouraged to enjoy education, express their own views and be a good human being.
Paying teachers according to what they deserve can really motivate them to teach in more appropriate manner.
