Barbara, the new babe in town

Hrithik Roshan will be seen romancing the Mexican actress Barbara Mori in his home production,Kitesdirected by Anurag Basu. Here's a look at Barbara's filmy journey so far....

A leading Mexican model and actress, Barbara Mori is of Uruguayan-Japanese and Mexican descent.

She was spotted by fashion designer Marcos Toledo at the age of 14 at a restaurant where she was working as a waitress. He invited her to work as a model.

Barbara started modeling and then became a telenovela actress with TV Azteca.

Barbara got her first leading role in the series Azul Tequila (1998). A year later she filmed the series Me muero por ti in Miami.

Her big break came in 2004, with the remake of the telenovela Rubí in which she played the title character.

Then cameKites, which is the most talked about film in Bollywood right now. Film's director Anurag Basu, who had seen Barbara's filmInspirationbefore, said she was always his first choice.

On the contrary, film's producer Rakesh Roshan said in one of his earlier interviews that Barbara was not his first choice. Barbara had shaved her head for a a film and when Rakesh saw his future heroine with only one inch long hair, he was hesitant to sign her on.

Talking about her personal life, Barbara met actor Sergio Mayer at the age of 19, who is the father of their son Sergio. The two never married.

She will soon be seen with her son Sergio in a new film.

There were reports of an alleged affair between her and Hrithik Roshan. Rumours also suggested that Hrithik's wife Suzanne had moved out their house but the couple went on to deny these reports.

Hrithik Roshan has done some of his most sensuous sequences with her in Basu's film.

Barbara is currently in India for the promotions ofKites.

Mori is all praises for her co-star and said it was a dream to work with Hrithik.
