Akki-Ash to do a Rishi-Dimple in Action Replayy

Vipul Shah’s Action Replayy is giving leading man Akshay Kumar a chance to romance the effervescent Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in more ways than one. Akki, who was sulking because he missed out on a Holi song with Ash, is now getting to do something far more romantic with her on screen. And what’s more, Akshay can take tips from mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia for this! 

Let us explain. The stars are shooting a song dedicated to famous screen couples of the 70s — like Rajesh Khanna-Mumtaz, Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bhaduri, and Dharmendra-Hema Malini. Vipul, at the last moment, also included Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia, with a stanza of the song Hum tum ek kamre mein band ho from their debut film Bobby. Now he’s keen on shooting the song in Gulmarg where the same cabin is now a major tourist attraction, with Ash playing Bobby. 

The production unit is seeking permission from the authorities to shoot there. Vipul says, “Somehow we missed out on this jodi while planning the song. Rishi and Dimple made one of the most iconic couples of Bollywood.” Now let’s see how the Khiladi romances the Most Beautiful Woman in the World who’s playing a role popularised by, well, his motherin-law.
